The Challenge

Poor vision is not just a health issue โ€”
it is an economic crisis.

Approximately 5โ€“8 million Malaysians currently need but lack access to affordable prescription glasses. This is not merely a health statistic โ€” it is an education, productivity, and economic emergency.

Workers with poor vision experience more accidents and errors, earn less, and are unable to afford healthcare, creating a downward spiral. Students with uncorrected vision fall behind in class, limiting their life chances from the very start.

Traditional optical retail was never designed for them. Shops are expensive, inaccessible by location, and require people to take time off work โ€” losing wages they cannot afford to lose.

"This represents a highly lucrative, recurring, and completely underserved market."
๐Ÿ’ฐ

Expensive (Cost)

Traditional optical care is out of reach for B40 and foreign worker households on tight incomes.

๐Ÿ“

Inaccessible (Location)

Optical shops are concentrated in urban centres, far from factories, rural schools, and B40 neighbourhoods.

โฐ

Time-Prohibitive (Lost Wages)

Taking time off work for a clinic visit โ€” and a second trip to collect glasses โ€” means lost income many can't afford.

๐ŸŒ

Mobility / Language Barriers

Foreign workers face language barriers and mobility restrictions that make navigating retail care nearly impossible.

Who We Serve

Communities that depend on good vision
but are excluded by traditional retail.

These groups need reliable vision for their livelihoods and safety โ€” yet traditional optical models consistently fail to reach them.

๐Ÿญ
Industrial

The Factory / Foreign Worker

Operating heavy machinery with poor vision creates serious safety risks. Language barriers make standard retail inaccessible.

Needs: Safety, productivity, on-site language support.
๐Ÿš—
Transport

The E-hailing / Lorry Driver

Driving long hours with uncorrected vision endangers passengers, cargo, and public safety on Malaysian roads.

Needs: Road safety, glare reduction, quick turnaround.
๐Ÿ‘ต
B40 Community

The B40 Elder

Elderly Malaysians in the B40 segment depend on their vision for independence and daily life โ€” and often cannot afford retail glasses.

Needs: Independence, reading glasses, subsidised access.
๐ŸŽ“
Education

The Student

A child who cannot see the board cannot learn. Vision access in school is one of the highest-leverage education interventions possible.

Needs: Classroom focus, durable frames, educational success.
